The BoxxBack™ journey takes us back to 1996, when a young entrepreneur embarks on a business venture, driven by an unwavering dream of sustainability. Operating under the banner of BiPP, Ludo Gielen pioneers his own polymer pallet range, rapidly captivating the European market of circular packaging solutions. The company’s innovative approach catches the attention of industry giant Schoeller Wavin, leading to its acquisition in 2004.
Starting as CCO, then transitioning to CIO, and finally ascending to the role of CEO, Ludo spearheads the transformation of the company into a global enterprise with 2,000 employees, an annual revenue of 600 million euros, and a presence in nearly all European countries, the Americas, and Asia. Ludo’s strategic vision, commitment to sustainability, and dedication to quality are instrumental in the company’s rise to industry prominence.
In 2024, Ludo takes the bold step to establish a company driven even more passionately by consumer environmental awareness and the significant opportunity to transition business models into circular ones.
